Total cost of the CNA Test Prep Class is $350. This cost includes a skills book, a workbook, use of the textbook, unlimited practice time and 13 hours of continuing education (called “Inservices”).
What is the difference between a CNA Test Prep and a CNA program?
CNA programs are 120 hour courses that include both theory (classroom learning) and clinical experiences (practicing skills on live patients in nursing homes or hospitals). These programs are licensed by the state and Board of Nursing as approved programs.
CNA Test Prep classes provide intensive, focused training on specific patient care skills in a clinical lab (classroom) setting. Test Prep classes do not practice these skills on live patients in outside settings*. Instead, the skills practice is performed under the close supervision of the instructor in a clinical lab (see picture on left) who will
assure that the skills are learned properly and performed according to state standards. Both methods are acceptable forms of training for CNA students. Regardless of training method, all students will take the same CNA state exam, consisting of both a written test (60 question, multiple choice) and clinical test (3 skills to perform). Both sections must be passed to become licensed as a CNA in the state of Florida.
CNA Test Prep programs, for some students, may be a faster, more economical way of obtaining a CNA license.
Experion…Experience the difference!
*Test Prep Classes are prohibited by Florida Standards from practicing skills in a live patient setting.
